As schools are closed down, I thought I’d share some of the group activities I do with readers at book events to use at home. Normally I do these as presentations where I share info & the students can ask questions. I adjusted it so they can work for discussions at home with an adult or even if your child wants to do this with friends online. There are also writing exercises that can be shared or used as journaling prompts. These tend to be great ways to discuss what’s going on at school. All the info can be found here as well as the 1st session for the book, True Colors. I'll add new sessions for the different chapters as we go through the series. Since I get a wide range of ages at these events, it will work for ages 10 and up. I've had younger kids participate as well.
